RUBELINA'S ABODE

The state of Oaxaca is a mix of cultures, inhabited by thirteen ethnic groups that speak eleven indigenous languages.

The state is comprised of 570 municipalities.

In the middle of the state we find the city of Oaxaca. The town, initially founded by a detachment of Aztec warriors and later refounded by the Spanish, received the title of city in 1532.

Since 1987, the historic downtown of the city and the archaeological site of Monte Alban have been listed by UNESCO as part of the world heritage.
